A special greeting event will be held on May 16, 2026, at Canal City Hakata in Fukuoka City to commemorate the release of "Super Mario Galaxy The Movie." The venue is the B1F Sunplaza Stage.

At this event, the beloved characters Mario and Yoshi will appear, seemingly jumping right out of the movie world to greet visitors. This offers a precious opportunity for fans to take photos with the characters. Participation will be in designated time slots via numbered tickets. These tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 9:00 AM on the event day at the Moon Walk area to the right of the B1F Sunplaza Stage. Attendees can choose their preferred time slot (10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, or 2:00 PM), but with only 40 tickets available per slot, your preferred time may not be guaranteed. If you wish to participate multiple times, you can re-queue to receive another ticket.

Participation Method and Important Notes

An event ticket is required for participation. Each ticket allows one group to enter and take photos. Gathering before the ticket distribution time is prohibited, as are overnight stays. For safety reasons, physical contact with the characters (handshakes, hugs, etc.) is not permitted. While photo and video recording are allowed, the use of tripods and monopods is prohibited, and participants must be considerate of others. No staff will be available to take photos on your behalf. Excessive calls to characters or actions that obstruct their movement should be avoided.
