Exhibition "Manga and War 2" Opens! Exploring the Diversity and Relevance of War Manga
The Kyoto International Manga Museum will host the special exhibition "Manga and War 2" starting July 12, 2025 (Saturday). This exhibition is a sequel to "Manga and War" held in 2015 and focuses on what "war manga" asks us today, 80 years after the war.
The exhibition will feature war manga introduced by theme in four quadrants, original drawings of war manga that should be read or appreciated now, and a reading corner where visitors can freely explore war manga. It will be an opportunity to deeply consider what the 80th anniversary of the post-war period signifies in terms of experiences and memories for different people, through the diverse world of war manga.
