The 2026 Nagoya Castle Ken-Tei will take place at the Okaya Koki Nagoya Kokaido, located at 1-1-3 Tsurumai, Showa-ku, Nagoya City. Examination Fees and Discounts

The examination fee for the Beginner level is 2,000 yen for adults and 1,000 yen for junior high school students and below. For the Intermediate and Advanced levels, the fees are 3,000 yen for adults and 1,500 yen for junior high school students and below. Notably, there are discounts available: junior high school students and younger receive a 50% discount. Additionally, a "Family Exam" discount allows one adult and one junior high school student or younger to take the exam for the price of just one adult's fee, making it an economical option for families.

Benefits for Passers

Successful candidates will receive special benefits based on their level. Those who pass the Beginner and Intermediate levels will be awarded Nagoya Castle admission tickets. Advanced level passers will receive Nagoya Castle annual passes and Tokugawaen Garden annual admission tickets. Furthermore, the top scorer in the Advanced level will be honored with an award ceremony held at the Honmaru Palace, offering a unique and prestigious recognition.

Application Methods

Applications will be accepted from Friday, July 10th, to Friday, November 6th, 2026. Multiple application methods are available for convenience, including bank transfer via postal "Kōsai Kōsai-hyō" (transfer form), in-person application at the Nagoya Castle Information Center, application by mail or FAX, and online application via the Peatix ticketing site, which accepts credit card payments. If applying for the "Family Exam," please ensure to provide the details of all participants.
