Railway Hiroba Volunteer Training Course 2026 Nagoya Science Museum

The Nagoya City Science Museum, located at 2-17-1 Sakae, Naka-ku, Nagoya, is recruiting participants for its fiscal year 2026 Railway Hiroba Volunteer Training Course. FUJI Railway Hiroba, which opened in March 2026, hosts monthly events for railway enthusiasts, and volunteers will primarily assist in their operation. Volunteer activities are scheduled to begin in October 2026, offering a valuable opportunity for those passionate about contributing to the railway experience.

Volunteer Activities and Eligibility

This training course aims to cultivate volunteers who will support the operational aspects of FUJI Railway Hiroba's events. Key responsibilities will include assisting with event day operations. To be eligible, applicants must meet three criteria: be 18 years of age or older at the time of the course (excluding high school students); be able to commit to activities approximately once every two months; and possess basic computer skills, including sending and receiving emails, as communication regarding activity scheduling will be conducted via email.

Training Course Schedule and Venue

Participants must attend one of the training sessions offered on either Sunday, August 16, 2026, or Saturday, August 29, 2026. Both sessions will run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with scheduled breaks. The training will take place in the first experiment room on the 6th floor of the Life Science Building and at FUJI Railway Hiroba within the Nagoya City Science Museum. Participation in the training course is free of charge.

Recruitment Details and Application Process

Approximately 30 volunteers will be selected. If the number of applicants exceeds the available spots, a lottery will be held. The application deadline is Monday, August 3, 2026. Applications should be submitted through the designated online application service by searching for "Railway Hiroba Volunteer" and selecting the preferred training date.
