Ryukyu Festival 2026 Okinawa will be held on September 23, 2026, at the Okinawa Convention Center Theater Building, located at 4-3-1 Mashiki, Ginowan City, Okinawa Prefecture. This festival, which has energized audiences in Osaka and Tokyo in the past as a celebration of Okinawan music, is returning to Okinawa for the first time in 28 years since 1998.

A Festival to Experience the Diversity of Okinawan Music

This festival offers a rare opportunity to enjoy a wide spectrum of Okinawan music, from traditional folk songs to contemporary pop. A stellar lineup of acclaimed artists representing Okinawa will gather, including Sadato Chinen, Tetsuhiro Daiku with Naoko, Yu Shimaubukuro (BEGIN), Kiyosaku (MONGOL800 / UKULELE GYPSY), Chitose Hajime, Kariyushi 58, Diamantes, Parsha Club, and Nene's. Additionally, Tatsuya Shimaubukuro, Tomoki Kiyan, and the dynamic Ryukyu Koku Matsuri Daiko will perform, creating an electrifying atmosphere. Tickets are all reserved seating and priced at 7,000 yen (tax included). Children under elementary school age can sit on a guardian's lap for free with one child per adult, but a ticket is required if a separate seat is needed. The purchase limit is 8 tickets per person.
