Repair Event 'THE LOOP' at Sapporo Factory: Repair Services & Workshops

The "THE LOOP" repair event will be held at Sapporo Factory in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, from Saturday, September 26th to Sunday, September 27th, 2026. This event aims to connect to the future by repairing and reusing cherished clothes, shoes, and gear, embodying the theme of "a loop for the future." Sapporo Factory, a hub for many brands and manufacturers, will share the joy and value of long-lasting products with the local community.

Event Details and Booths

A variety of repair services and workshops will be offered by different brands and companies. The North Face will provide repair services for apparel, including heat-press patching and sewing repairs for holes and tears, accepting items regardless of brand. A&F Country will offer professional repair services for outdoor bags, and YKK will repair broken zippers. These services are available for pre-booking and are free of charge.

Furthermore, a self-repair workshop, in collaboration with Cyclas and Hokkaido Bunka Fashion College, will allow participants to learn how to mend their own clothing using sewing machines or hand-stitching. A workshop to create small items like bags and pouches using promotional zipper samples and scrap fabric will also be held. Columbia will host a workshop to create bird calls from repurposed wood scraps from shoes, with a participation fee of 700 yen (tax included). Anon will offer simple cleaning for all types of outdoor shoes, accept paid repair services such as sole replacement, and sell shoe care products. Tomioka Cleaning will provide maintenance for leather goods and a workshop to create leather keychains from shoe repair scraps.

Special Screening: 'Repair Cafe'

On the first day, Saturday, September 26th, there will be a special screening of the original short documentary "Repair Cafe." Screenings are scheduled for 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM in the Sapporo Factory Room and require advance reservation.
