"Sumo: From Tokyo to Paris" Exhibition Showcases the Spirit of Sumo Through Ink Art

The international cultural project "Sumo: From Tokyo to Paris" will be held at Shibuya Hikarie. This exhibition reinterprets the sumo wrestler's body as a vessel of ritual and history through powerful ink expressions.

In conjunction with the Grand Sumo Tournament's tour in France, held for the first time in approximately 30 years, this project unfolds from Tokyo to Paris. The works by Zoya Skoropadenko pay homage to wrestlers of Ukrainian descent, including Yokozuna Taiho, Aonishiki, and Shishi, presenting the possibilities of tradition and international solidarity.
