Red Brick Sunset 2026: Enjoy West Coast Vibes at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse

The "Red Brick Sunset 2026" event will be held at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse from August 1st to August 30th, 2026. This event, now in its 19th year, is designed to offer a taste of foreign charm while staying in Yokohama, attracting a large number of visitors annually.

This year's theme is "Santa Monica," a popular resort destination on the West Coast of the United States. The venue will be decorated to evoke the atmosphere of Santa Monica's "Sunset Beach," featuring expansive beaches lined with palm trees and a sophisticated townscape. Inside, colorful and pop-inspired decorations reminiscent of 1950s American diners will create an immersive experience, allowing visitors to feel as if they've been transported to Santa Monica. The year 2026 also marks significant anniversaries: the 100th anniversary of the opening of "Route 66," which ends in Santa Monica, and the 250th anniversary of American independence, adding a special touch to the event.

Gastronomy will also embrace the Santa Monica theme. Alongside popular casual American West Coast fare such as hamburgers, visitors can enjoy refreshing ice cream perfect for summer and a variety of other local delicacies, including drinks that complement the sunset ambiance. This offers a chance to savor local flavors while soaking in the event's atmosphere.

The event is held rain or shine, but may close in case of severe weather. Admission is free, though food, drinks, and merchandise will incur separate charges. Operating hours are from 11:00 to 22:00 (last order for food and drinks at 21:30). A pre-opening will also take place on Friday, July 31st, starting at 17:00.
